Service Description

Want to learn to find delicious and rare wild mushrooms on your own? How about putting together an entire meal with herbs, greens, berries, and nuts? We will teach you and up to two additional people how! Includes transportation from South Orange train station in NJ if needed. Actual start time is usually 9:30 -10:30 am *Do not consume wild plants or mushrooms unless you are 100% certain of your identification. Always consult an experienced forager before eating. Targeted mushroom species: Morels, Chanterelles, Old Man of the Woods, Hen of the Woods (Maitake), Chicken of the Woods, Black Trumpets,Wood Ears, Reishi, and Oysters. Targeted Berries: Raspberry, Blackberry, Mulberry, June Berry, Blueberry, Wild Grape, and Autumn Olive. Targeted Greens and Herbs: Ramps, Day Lillies, Nettles, Clover, Garlic Mustard, Mugwort, Cattails, Lamb's Quarters, Dandelion, Japanese Knotweed, Japanese Barberry, Wood Sorrel, Curly Dock, Wild Onion, Honeysuckle, and Sassafras. Targeted nuts: Black Walnut, Hickory, Acorn Available Species will vary by season. The general season is Early May through late October. Email us to inquire before booking.


Cancellation Policy

Deposit is non-refundable, but can be transferred if trip is cancelled at least two weeks in advance. If for any reason we have to cancel on you, the deposit will be refunded if you're unable to reschedule.
